Sunset at Bosbokstrand
We were traveling through the beautiful Wildcoast in South Africa in December/January 2015. Our last stop was the distant Bosbokstrand where we camped for 3 days. The campsite is where the Nyarha river meets the Indian Ocean in the Eastern Cape. They have a very exclusive beach. You have to stay at Bosbokstrand to be able to visit the beach.
Surika and I went to the beach late one afternoon at sunset. Me to take some photos and she wanted to take some video. We were the only people on the beach.
What greeted us was probably the most beautiful sight we have ever seen. You could literally point your camera in any direction and take an extraordinary photo. And this beautiful scene was created by God for only two people. Surika and I. We spent about two hours on the beach, just us, our cameras, the beautiful sunset and the continuous sound of the waves breaking unto the beach and then ebbing away. Constantly.
It is almost holy moments, we are almost too scared to talk, not wanting to disturb the moment.
We left when it became dark. We walked back to our camp, each reflecting on our own memories.
